Maji Maji storms parliament to challenge Speaker Lusaka

Date:

The former musician of the Gidi Gidi Maji Maji duo Maji Maji on Tuesday, August 19, went to Parliament where he addressed Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka regarding the division of revenue bill stalemate.

Maji Maji who is the Ghetto Radio managing director  advised Lusaka to declare the senate as disordely, stating that it would be in the interest of Kenyans.

Speaking to journalists outside Parliament buildings, Maji Maji stated that he failed to understand why the Senate had held nine sessions without coming up with a concrete decision.

He stated that a section of Kenyans were not privy to how the current revenue stalemate would affect them on a personal level because the government had not provided civic education.

“Mr Speaker, men and women of power, organised and powered by the people cannot meet nine times consistently and fail to come up with a logical decision in the interest of the people they so work for.

“I have watched all the nine sessions painfully and failed to comprehend why the decision had become so difficult and evasive. A yes or a no is still a decision,” he conveyed.
