LSK Arrests Fake Female Lawyer Days After Brian Mwenda Was Exposed

Date:

The Law Society of Kenya(LSK) has blasted another fake lawyer, this time a woman, even before dust settles on Brian Mwenda’s case.

According to LSK president Eric Theuri, the female quack lawyer has since been identified as Sharon Adunya Atieno.

Theuri revealed that Atieno had impersonated one of the Society’s advocates.

“This afternoon together with the Nairobi Branch Rapid Response Team we caused the arrest of Sharon Adunya Atieno who had impersonated one of our Advocates and was using the alias Sharon Atieno Adunya Obade,” he shared on his X account.

Theuri added that Atieno stole Obade’s identity and even forged a national ID card. She is currently being held at the central police station.

“She stole the identity of Sharon Atieno Obade and had forged a national identity under the alias and fake practicing certificate to aid her illegal enterprise. She is currently held at Capitol Police Station pending investigations and arraignment in Court. We thank our members for alerting us of this incident. We will not relent in this fight. The operation to rid masquerades will be intensive, thorough and unrelenting,” Theuri said.

Brian Mwenda went viral last week after it emerged that he impersonated an actual lawyer. According to reports, the quack lawyer had won 26 cases and was able to practice law after breaching LSK system.

Kenyans have since defended him because of his intelligence.
