“We look forward for all of us having a great day it will be last day as president and I want to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you, we have worked well together. It has been both a pleasure and honor to have you with us and I am confident we have laid a firm foundation for those who shall come after to continue and to build a bigger, brighter more prosperous Kenya from where we have left off. I want to say thanks so much for the work and may God bless you and Kenya as well,” the head of state said, and after a short prayer, they left for Uhuru Gadens.
As it is the norm, the Deputy President is in charge of receving his boss and DP Ruto alongside his wife Rachel were ready for the assignment.
But just moments before president Kenyatta would arrive for the official welcome, DP Ruto noted that something was not right with Rachel’s sash, similar to the ones government officials had won.
Being a gentleman, Ruto removed the Sash and helped Rachel put it on correctly thus leaving netizens talking.
“Lovely couple. No pretense, no hypocrisy. Love you guys!” Monica Njoroge said.
“Our politicians are always confused whenever they attend National Events.Mr Dp why don’t you check the wearings of your wife before she arrives at the National Event? It shows arrogance in the eyes of Kenyans and International communities,” Dickson Owiti said.
