Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua has once more dealt deputy president William Ruto a blow ahead of the 9th August 2022 general elections.
While addressing a gathering, Rigathi gachagua told Kenyans to reject independent candidates because as the deputy president, the recruitment in the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) will not be based on merit but on the party your member of parliament is elected on.
Accordingly, the Mathira member of parliament made it clear that to be a military officer, you will have to be a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in order to qualify for a letter from his office if elected as the deputy president.
These sentiments by Rigathi Gachagua did not however go well with Kenyans who had the following to say:
“Me thinks this is the best man in Kenya kwisha. He should be encouraged to continue talking his heart out. This will make the work of Azimio easy in terms of explaining who their opponents are.”
“This Rigathi Gachagua is honest, you can’t lie if you’re not a lier,he’s talking exactly what’s his heart from previous acts.”
“God does not hate us to give us this presidency…if we have sinned against GOD to be punished with this leadership we repent all our sins with sincere hearts.”
“Gachagua should be encouraged to continue talking , he’s busy decampaigning his boss. When God is on your side , even the enemies will shoot themselves for you.”
“Have you noticed that akina Ndindi Nyoro, Kimani, Alice wahome have literally taken a backseat.Najua wanajiambia, “na tulikataza Ruto asichukue huyu Rigathi hakuskia”..
“This guy is still suffering from hangovers of Nyayo’s era. Whatever he’s saying is a thing of the past. But I think their sole strategy is to take advantage of the rampant ignorance across the country.”
“At this rate azimio should stop campaigning as this man is decamapaiging uda by himself by the time he is done ✅ it’s game over.”
