Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki has announced that he will take a break from active politics from the 10th of August to reorganize himself.
Kithure Kindiki in a press conference on Monday made it clear that his attempts to serve the country were frustrated and that he will take a break.
The senator also stated that he will not be available for any appointment in William Ruto’s administration although he will be available at some point in future to serve his country.
Kindiki went ahead to thank members of parliament who overwhelmingly supported his bid by voting for him to deputize Ruto. According to him, he won during the nominations but he was not lucky enough to be Ruto’s runningmate after the UDA party leader settled on Rigathi Gachagua.
William Ruto while appointing Rigathi gachagua described him as an astute politician who understood the bottom up economic model. He also revealed that he had worked with the Mathira member of parliament on many occasions hence it was only appropriate that he make him his deputy.
On his side, the legislator thanked the deputy president for trusting him and appointing him to take such an office. He vowed to continue promoting the bottom up economic model for the good of the country.
At some point, the Mathira member of parliament and the Tharaka Nithi senator left William Ruto’s karen home at supersonic speed after negotiations hit a snag.
According to reliable reports, Kithure Kindiki was the first one to leave Karen at 5PM before being followed by Rigathi Gachagua 20 minutes later. On the other hand, other leaders allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) remained in Karen to continue discussing the way forward on who would deputize Ruto.
