This follows the realization that the Government of Kenya plans to not only increase taxes on certain common commodities but also seeks to tax the digital landscape. Kenyans had gone to seek income from running virtual businesses and Kenya’s e-commerce space is still a fledgeling industry but Uhuru Kenyatta’s government has set its eyes on generating revenue by taxing it.
