Kalonzo Badly Ashamed In Nakuru As They Openly Force Him To Recognize Raila

Date:

Nakuru residents on Wednesday forced Wiper Democratic Movement leader Steven Kalonzo Musyoka to recognize Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.

Mr. Kalonzo was on his campaign tour in Nakuru before the locals he was addressing told him on his face to salimia baba (say hi to Raila).

Loosely translated, the Nakuru residents were just reminding Mr. Kalonzo Musyoka that he should throw his weight behind the opposition leader Raila Odinga since he stands a good chance unlike him who still has a long way to go.

In response, the wiper leader said that he would send their greetings to Raila while reminding the opposition leader to also support him this time round.

“Baba tutamsalimia ata yeye mwambie afuate Kalonzo safari hii.” Kalonzo told the locals.

Speaking during an interview with NTV, the Wiper party leader said he would rather retire, than support Raila.

“I will be the most stupid fellow under earth to support for the third time, a presidential candidate without a measure of reciprocity,” Kalonzo said.

The Ukambani kingpin further went ahead to blame the Orange Democratic Movement side for the collapse of the National Super Alliance, revealing that it would take a miracle to revive the coalition.

According to Kalonzo, ODM secretary general for ODM Mr. Edwin Sifuna was fully behind the death of the NASA coalition when he announced during a Kibra by-election that it was dead.

“When you have breach of trust at that level where leaders cannot meet, where leaders are calling each other names as if they are children, then clearly it would require a miracle”

“When you are walking a bitten trail and you know the pitfalls, the insincerity, bad mouthing and bad faith, you rather think very strategically. So, for us, One Kenya Alliance is ready to take off,” he said.

As reported by the Star, Raila and the other Nasa principals—Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula—have been pulling in different directions since 2018 following the handshake between the former prime minister and Uhuru.

Chama Cha Mashinani party leader Isaac Ruto, who was also part of the team, is now with Deputy President William Ruto.

Whether Mr. Kalonzo Musyoka would heed to the advice of Nakuru residents to work with Raila is an issue we can only wait to see.
