A section of Kenyans have taken on Royal Media Services Director of Strategy and Innovations Linus Kaikai over a comment he made on Raila Odinga.
Kaikai, who is believed to be a staunch supporter of the ODM leader, defended him on live TV discussion saying he is not a project the way his opponents refer to him but rather a monument.
“I always find it difficult to appreciate the argument that Raila Odinga is a project considering the number of times he has run for president. Raila Odinga is more of a monument than a project,” Kaikai said during the News gang show on Thursday night.
The comment however elicited mixed reactions, some saying that Kaikai was being bias by taking sides on a live TV programme yet he is a journalist while others maintained that Odinga is a project.
“Ero Linus Kaikai, this time Raila Odinga is a project. He is no longer capable of mounting a decent campaign, so he has been resurrected as a project,” Joshua Komen claimed.
Gideon Khisa added that, “Linus Kaikai is the most overrated journalist at citizen, I don’t support Ruto but Linus should be professional when he is on the screen not just to expose his biasness.”
“Kaikai, Raila is a project as far as his 2022 campaign roll out is concerned. Raila is not a political greenhorn, kweli kabisa, but the state has captured his candidature hence a state project. The incumbent administration is backrolling his quest. What don’t you understand there??” Anthony Macari said.
“Kaikai talks like Atwoli nowadays, campaigning for Hon. Raila is a burden,” Ng’etich Elisha said.
The Kenya Kwanza team led by DP William Ruto has been referring to Raila as a project of the government after president Uhuru Kenyatta decided to back his presidential bid.
The team has been going around the country on campaigns urging citizens not to accept the former prime minister.
