The ruling party Jubilee had addressed a list that went viral on social media announcing changes in the party’s leadership structure.
According to Jubilee, the document that was widely shared on online platforms on November 17 is fake and the party had not taken such deliberations.
The document revealed that Nakuru Governor, Lee Kinyanjui, former Eldas Member of Parliament, Adan Keynan, and Samburu County Woman Representative, Maison Leshomo were best suited to replace Deputy President William Ruto.
The document further claimed that the party’s secretary general Raphael Tuju will be replaced by former Nyeri Woman Representative, Priscilla Nyokabi.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, Jubilee chair Nelson Nzuya and his vice David Murathe however maintained their position according to the list.

This comes with only two weeks remaining for Jubilee’s National Delegates Convention to take place.
The convention will take place on November 30 at Kasarani, with the party expected to announce major reforms.
A section of Jubilee MPs said that DP Ruto and his allies who had decamped jubilee will be kicked out during the November 30 conference.
“In the same breath, we are happy to announce that Jubilee has cleaned house at local and national level and shaken off most of the bad elements who have been undermining the party including, unfortunately, none other than the Deputy Party Leader William Ruto.
“As a party, we will swallow any bitter pill if that is the only guarantee for a better, healthier and more robust party. We will do what we have to do to protect our legacy – as the ruling party for 10 years – and as a party transitioning into another new beginning and promise of renewal,” the member said in a statement earlier this month.
