Kenyan Politician Mr. John Mututho has proposed that the parliamentary seat and the member of county assembly position be preserved for the youths.
While speaking through his official facebook page, the immediate former Chairman of the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) opined that it could have been better if the two slots were left to youths below the age of 35.
He encouraged the team spearheading the Building Bridges Initiative to consider his view in a bid to uplift the youths. According to John Mututho, the younger generation need to be supported and inspired through such avenues for the prosperity of our country.

The former NACADA chair added that the young people are the majority therefore, this nation will be governed well if 75% of those in parliament are composed of them. He encouraged the young generation to go for these elective seats and cease from being used by senior politicians. According to Mr. Mututho, availability of young men and women for misuse has been one of the major challenges bedeviling our nation.
Whether the committee spearheading the Building Bridges Initiative will consider his proposal is a matter of wait and see.
