Jimi Wanjigi Disappears Again In A Safe Room, Can’t Be Traced In His Office By Raiders Just Like In 2017

Date:

Reports reaching Sonko News is that billionaire Jimi Wanjigi is under siege following a raid by people alleged to be police officers.

It is reported that an unknown number of police officers arrived at the Kwacha Group of companies offices at around 9.30PM on Monday.

According to CCTV footage, armed men were standing outside Jimi Wanjigi’s gate with the intention of gaining access.

Interestingly, the raiders were yet to find out where Jimi Wanjigi is, drawing speculations that he may just be in one of his safe hideouts just like in 2017.

In the midst of the push and pull between the opposition leader and the Jubilee government ahead of the 2017 general elections, several police officers attacked Wanjigi’s house but they could not just find him after inspecting the house for hours.

Officers from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit arrived at the fortress-like home on that fateful morning carrying tools including sledge hammers.

On their side, the officers claimed they were searching for the tycoon to record his statement over the seizure of five AK assault rifles and ammunition in one of his homes in Malindi.

Later on, Wanjigi confessed that he was just somewhere in his house as the visibly angry police officers conducted a futile search.

So far, Sonko News has not established the motive of the raid which comes just a day after the billionaire businessman attended a function presided over by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

“I joined my good friend Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka at his home in Yatta. Even in times of politics, it’s important to remember that we are all Kenyans & we should remain United.” Wrote Jimi wanjigi.

While at it, the businessman insisted that he would not give up on advocating for democracy in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.

“We will not tire to fight for democracy within the ODM Party. As a National party, members have the final say on who should represent them & that is non negotiable.” He said.

This act however attracted mixed reactions with a number of Kenyans reacting as below:

“Armed men currently raiding Jimi Wanjigi’s office in westlands! No explanations given, they say they just want him.” Wrote Hon. Steve Mbogo.

“HNIB BREAKING: FLYING SQUAD at Kwacha Address. the office of @JimiWanjigi – just days after he hinted he would fight for DEMOCRACY in ODM. ” Na Sio ile ya mawe…”  Wrote blogger Dennis Itumbi.

Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna also had this to say:

“BREAKING…Jimi Wanjigi being RAIDED AGAIN!This is pure thuggery by State House Kenya, Despot Uhuru Kenyatta and DCI Kenya. If you want to arrest anyone, attend at their homes during day time and serve them with a warrant of arrest. Don’t attack in darkness in civilian clothes.

Conman Raila Odingacannot even compete with Jimi Wanjigi in The ODM Party. A quintessential dictator. He and his SPONSOR, despot Uhuru Kenyatta, are abusing illegitimate State Powers. Kenyans must say NO to this primitive and barbaric way of dealing with legitimate political differences. #RejectRailaOdinga.” Claimed Miguna.
