Celebrated journalist and Royal Media Services presenter Jeff Koinange has revealed how he once fell victim of a con artist.
Speaking on his breakfast show at HOT 96, the presenter said that he was conned by an international reggae artiste from Jamaica who had visited Nairobi.
According to Jeff, he did an event for the artist who belongs to a famous Jamaican reggae band but he was never paid for his services.
Koinange told his co-host Nick Odhiambo that years later after the successful event he was still hoping that he would receive the payment that did not happen.
Odhiambo on his side said that Jeff still listened to the music from the Grammy-winning group despite the ordeal he had with them.
Jeff however failed to spill more beans on what the event was about and when it happened.
“I don’t know if they are coming to Kenya again, Jeff will be at the airport waiting for them. Call that Rastafarian,” Nick joked about the ordeal.
Jeff however told him that he has moved on.
“It’s all good brother, that is life,” Jeff responded.
Aside from doing the radio show, Jeff hosts JKL news show on Wednesday and Sunday live Citizen TV.
He currently hosts the country show dubbed Country Road that features Sir Elvis.
The group with a trade mark of meld of sweetness, is said to have been meeting with local investors and are aimed at starting agriculture and hospitality businesses in Nairobi.
The band has been on the fore front of reggae for more than twenty years engaging in multi-part vocal harmonies, soulful melodies, and innovative roots rhythms and the international reggae.
