Date:

Kiss FM Presenter and Comedian Jalang’o has said that he is not going to quit entertainment even after being elected as an honorable MP.

In an interview with Kiss FM, Jalang’o said that  he will still do the gigs and host events as being in the position won’t change who he is.

“One thing I am not going to leave is entertainment. Am going to be happy, the most with people, the most with politicians because there’s something that I do that I love. I love entertainment, I would wish that I come back and do my radio by morning like this am done, and go to the parliament,” the comedian said.

He said that going to parliament was just a chance for him to do something different therefore there is no need for him to change.

At the same time, Jalang’o revealed that his dream to join politics began six years ago and even went to college to study so that he can know how to serve people.

“I decided to step up and see what our people want and what changes I can make. I was born a leader, from when I stopped depending on my parents we had to take care of our lives. I had already planned about it that is why I even did Community Development in Campus. It is not just something I jumped on, it is something that started being planned 6 years ago. This is somebody who is ready to give leadership” he explained.

He however said that his wife Amina is not ready for his political career but she is supporting him.

“She (wife) is still not ready for all this, we have late nights, people have started coming to our house,” Jalang’o revealed.

Jalang’o intends to run for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat in general elections slated for August 9, 2022 under the ODM ticket
