Diana Marua’s friend Phoina Tosha launched her beauty line on Wednesday evening but Diana was conspicuously missing at the event.
Diana is the brand ambassador of Phoina’s hairline and one would wonder her reasons for not being present at the event. A curious social media user went ahead to suggest that Marua was jealous of Phoina.
“Hey curious as to why Diana posted a video of going to Phoina ‘s event then last minute becomes sick, I smell jealous,” the user told NGC.
Diana was however represented by her husband Bahati who was in the company of gospel singer DK Kwenye Beat. Bahati said that she had fallen ill and could not make it to the event.
“Diana couldn’t make it today cause she fell sick. She’s at the hospital right now but she has sent her greetings. She told Phoina to look at her Mpesa,” Bahati said while addressing guests.
Bahati also jokingly told Phoina’s mother that he was willing to take her daughter as his second wife since she had not introduced anyone as a boyfriend.
“Phoina, there is one thing I am waiting for, you are not introducing your boyfriend. Mama Phoina I am looking for money, I can take her as my second wife,” Bahati said as the guests burst into laughter.
He however praised Phoina saying that she had been there for him and supported him in his music career.
“God bless you and thank you for always coming through for me. You know Phoina is that person who at the time I was changing music, I usually don’t want to say I left gospel music, she was the first person who offered to leave Nairobi with me and we shot Wanani video for 3-4 days in Nanyuki.
“She left her work and Wanani became one of my biggest songs in my music career. I am so humbled and I appreciate you for your support. I will always be here to pray and support you,” Bahati said.
Judging from Bahati’s speech, one could easily think that he is responsible for Diana missing the event, especially the part of wanting to marry Phoina as the second wife.
