Deputy President William Ruto is marking an important day of his life and Kenyans have joined in solidarity to celebrate with him.
The second in command has turned 55 years old today and the hashtag the5thAt55 has taken twitter by a storm.
Ruto is among a few other aspirants who have shown interest in becoming the fifth president of the republic of Kenya after next year’s general elections.
Some political leaders that have sent their best wishes to DP include former Mombasa senator Hassan Omar.
“Happy Birthday my brother Chief Hustler @WilliamsRuto. May the Almighty grant you many more. Na Karibu Tena Mombasa. Always a pleasure having you around,” Omar shared on twitter.
His party United Democratic Alliance also sent him a special message.
“Happy birthday DP William Ruto. May the Lord whom you tirelessly serve give you strength to continue fighting for #HustlerNation space on the table,” UDA said.
Kenyans were also not left behind and here are some of their messages to DP Ruto.

Lawrence Wainaina said, “Happy birthday bazuu @WilliamsRuto. You are a shining star, an inspiration and motivation to millions of Kenya. I wish you good health, strength and God’s grace. There’s no doubt that you are the 5th President of this great Republic.”
