Reuben Kigame, an Independent presidential hopeful, has raised concerns over the credibility of the voter registrar that is in possession of IEBC.
According to him, he was registered as a member of the Orange Democratic Movement without his consent in February.
He was not the only one who has been affected but all his family members who were members of the Restore and Build Kenya political party, which was launched in April 2012 by James Ole Kiyapi, a former Permanent Secretary in the Jubilee government.
Kigame says that the members of his family are now members of other parties.
“In the last election all my family members were in Rbk. When we checked our registrations last year we were all in different parties. When I resigned from @UkweliParty in Feb I was registered in@TheODMpartywithout my consent. How can we trust this register by@IEBCKenya,” he said.

In a separate tweet, he wondered about the voter registrar that IEBC was using the verification of aspirants in the August general elections yet the voter registrar list is still under scrutiny by KPMG.
“Ladies and gentlemen,@KPMG and @IEBCKenyaAre still cleaning up the voter register for 2022. They will publish it officially on 20th June 2022. Which register did @WChebukati use to confirm signatures and ID cards for Aspirants?” Kigame posed.
Kigame was locked out of the August 9 presidential race by IEBC. He claims that IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati refused to receive his documents for verification saying that he was tied by the law.
The gospel singer has complained of being discriminated against by the electoral commission and has since, together with Thirdway Alliance party leader and businessman Jimi Wanjigi vowed to fight IEBC in court for locking them out.
