“Hii Kenya si yenu na Kenyattas” these are some of the stinging words by Emurua Dikir MP Johana Ng’eno who now faces arrest over hate speech.
The MP unleashed a bare-knuckle under the belt attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta for sidelining his deputy William Ruto.
The tough-talking lawmaker said Uhuru had no right to run the affairs of the government recklessly because Kenya belonged to the 47 million citizens who live in it.
In a video, the staunch Ruto ally said the president should work with the deputy president and if he cannot, he should disband the Jubilee government and go home. “So Uhuru Kenyatta, work with the DP and if you do not want, pack and go. We cannot beg you,” an angry Ng’eno said.
The lawmaker said the country did not belong to the first in command or any of his family members. “This is not your land or your country that you can run it they way you feel like,” he said.
He called on Uhuru to run the nation constitutionally and said if the president was unable to do so, he should go to his home in Gatundu.
“Next year, start preparing how you will go to Gatundu. Kenyans will plan on this country. You can plan on you house but the affairs of Kenya let Kenyans decide,” the MP said. meetings.
The vocal Tanga Tanga allied lawmaker insisted the DP had been sidelined in the running of government affairs during Jubilee’s second term in office.
But the MP is not new to his defiance nature.
In February he was arrested in Narok County for holding an outlawed anti-BBI meeting in Narok South Constituency.
The lawmaker was in Kimogor market to address locals over the BBI meeting that was organized in Narok.
Ngeno, in the company of two other Members of County Assembly resisted the arrest accusing the police of applying double standards.
