HELB Opens Application For Ksh500,000 Loan

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has opened applications for student credit with a reach of Ksh500,000.

In a notice issued on Wednesday, January 3, HELB announced that the new credit will target students in the nursing profession.

HELB indicated that students advancing their nursing careers and those specialising will benefit from the new kitty.

“Application is now open for the Advanced Nursing Education Fund: flexible, affordable study loans for Nurses pursuing advanced and specialized courses in approved training institutions in Kenya,” HELB announced.

According to the notice, the Ksh500,000 loan will be payable for five years. The loan will attract an interest of 4 per cent.

Requirements for accessing the credit include a copy of an admission letter from a HELB-compliant institution, fully filled application form and a copy of the national identity card.

Applicants will also be expected to present three recent payslips copies certified by their employer.
