“He Insulted Me” Moses Kuria Speaks On His Beef With President Uhuru

Date:

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria used to be a close confidant of President Uhuru Kenyatta until 2018 when their friendship took a nosedive.

Kuria is the area MP in Uhuru’s rural home, but now he no longer engages the president ever since they fell out.

The Gatundu South MP opened up about his beef with Uhuru while speaking during an interview on KTN News on Wednesday, September 22nd.

The controversial lawmaker, who is now a fierce critic of the president, revealed that he last spoke with Uhuru in 2018.

“First of all I told you the last time I talked to the President is three years ago; which is regrettable because I am his Member of Parliament,” said Moses Kuria.

The Gatundu South MP explained that he fell out with Uhuru in 2018 after the president shamed him during a political rally in Nyeri.

Kuria said that Uhuru realized depth of damage he inflicted on him and that decided to call him to make an apology.

Despite the two having a fruitful conversation, it proved to be the last day that the Moses Kuria ever spoke with President Uhuru.

Asked if he doesn’t speak to the people around the President like David Murathe, Kuria said he had nothing to discuss with Uhuru’s handlers.

“I can speak to Murathe and discuss what? I speak to Murathe all the time, does that mean I have an agenda with Murathe?” Moses Kuria posed.

Moses Kuria is now a strong critic of President Uhuru, he supports William Ruto’s presidential bid even though Tangatanga allies have accused him of being a mole.

Several Tangatanga members have accused Kuria of wrecking Ruto’s camp from within with his refusal to join UDA.

Kuria insists he supports Ruto’s presidential bid but he refused to fold his party and be a full member of UDA. The DP has reiterated that he will not seek coalition agreements with other parties as demands full loyalty for his new political outfit.
