President Uhuru Kenyatta has told off leaders who attacked his mother – Mama Ngina, telling in no uncertain terms, to insult their mothers instead.
While on his way to launch the Kenyatta Teaching and Referral hospital in Kiambu county on Thursday, the president made a stopover in Ruaka where he addressed the residents.
The project was inspecting a road project that will connect three neighboring counties – Kiambu, Murang’a and Nairobi.
During his round-up took President Kenyatta took the moment to address a recent round of politicking in which his family was insulted by the Deputy President’s allies.
“Wale watu washenzi wanaenda huko wakikutanna mama yangu, waambieni wakatukane mama zao wachaane na mama yangu ( tell those silly people insulting my mother to leave her alone and go abuse their mothers),” President Uhuru said.
The President added that although he’s still young, he has no qualms about leaving State House beyond 2022.
The President’s sentiments came days after Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno and his Kapseret counterpart attacked him and his family verbally in a viral video.
Scores of leaders have called out the two legislatures demanding them to apologize for disrespecting the president and the entire first family.

The Emurua Dikirr MP was on Monday arrested from his home by a contingent of police officers and was accused of increment to violence.
MP Ng’eno is now facing Hate Speech charged and was released on Thursday on a Ksh 2M bond, surety of the same amount or an alternative cash bail of Sh1M.
Ng’eno has so far been expelled from the Kanu party and is required to seek a fresh mandate from the electorate.
