Date:

Award winning Journalist Waihiga Mwaura is among the thousands of students who graduated on Friday from Daystar University, during the 46th graduation ceremony.

Waihiga shared the good news online, revealing that he graduated with a Masters in Communication.

In his appreciation message, he thanked his wife, family and friends for the support that saw him achieve the great milestone.

“God done did it. M.A. in Communication (Media Studies). What a journey this has been, one I thought would never end (story for another day). But here we are. So many people to thank. My beloved @joyceomondi for all the support through this journey. My family, who encouraged me to never give up.

“A very helpful group of people at Daystar University. The PhD students who pushed me on. And to anyone I may have forgotten-thank you. As Malcolm X once said, Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today,” the excited BBC journalist shared.

Joyce also took to social media to celebrate her husband for the success.

“Shangwe na vigelegele!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🎉✨✨So proud of this champ right here for all the hard work and resilience he put into this. You are an inspiration my love! Hongera, hongera @waihigamwaura! ” the gospel singer said.
