Comedian Eric Omondi has insisted that Sauti Sol must be the last people to perform during the end year event that Konshens is the guest.
The event dubbed NRG Wave will be held on Friday, December 31 at Carnivore grounds to usher in the new year.
Kenyan artists that have been invited to perform at the event are Sauti sol, Khaligraph Jones, Benzema and Fena.
According to Eric, there are plans to sabotage the Memorandum of Understanding between him and the event organizers, NRG Radio.
Speaking to the press, Eric said that they had agreed with the organizers on how the artists will be performing but he has sensed that the plan has been changed.
“We agreed with NRG that a Kenyan artist most preferably Sauti Sol to perform last until Yesterday(Tuesday) when Konshens arrived in Kenya.I am not stupid, I am very smart and I can sense when things are starting to change because there are phone calls that are not picked.
“There are those that pick calls and I commit them to the programme we agreed on. There are those who start saying Eric you see it doesn’t really matter who performs what. It matters who performs at what time for now. For now Kenyan music is rising, we have people who are sick and we requested the rest of Africa to allow us just a period of one year so that we can come back,” Eric stated.
According to the MoU, Benzema is to open the floor, followed by Fena, then Khaligraph Jones will usher in Konshens and finally Sauti sol.
Eric said that he will not allow Konshens to be the star attraction and in case the organizers pull the stunt for Konshens to be the last performer, the event will not happen considering that he is the Master of Ceremony(MC).
“That event will not happen even if NRG calls all police officers and GSU, because if we allow it to happen, our fight goes down the drain. Konshens will not be the star attraction on Friday.I will do everything in my power. They will remove me from the stage. It can not happen, I would have wasted time, Money, energy. I have not been doing comedy since October,” the comedian said.

Eric’s sentiments caught the attention of Bien of Sauti sol who responded by saying, “Nobody gives a shit about your pettiness. You’re losing yourself in this bullshit.”
