Comedian Eric Omondi has given an update on the current situation at Jimi Wanjigi’s Kwacha Group of Companies offices in Westlands.
According to Eric, detectives are still camping at the offices and those who have been detained in the compound have been subjected to inhumane conditions.
“I cant believe this is still happening in 2022. This is a Shame to Kenya and Africa at Large. The people in this Compound have been subjected to the most Inhumane of Conditions. They have not eaten anything for 16 hours, “Eric shated on Instagram.
He further said that there is a lady who needs urgent medical attention but the detectives have refused to allow the doctor to attend to her.
“There is a lady Colleague of ours whose life is in Danger because she needs to take her Medicine. The doctor is out here and she would not be allowed in. We are begging them to at least let her out so she can get URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION. My boss @jimi.wanjigi has been asking for any form of Order or Warrant to no avail,” Eric wrote.

Earlier, the police were forced to use tear gas to disperse a group of youths that were protesting outside the offices.
It is alleged that the youths were ferried to the offices on Tuesday morning by unknown people.
Some are said to have alighted from three buses and the police said that they were stealing from pedestrians.
The detectives raided Wanjigi’s office on Monday night at around 9.30 pm and wanted him to accompany them to write a statement over an investigation they are conducting on a piece of land in Westlands.
By the time of the raid, Wanjigi and some of his sons were in the building but it is alleged that he is hidden in a safe room in the offices.
He however blamed the raid on the remarks he made over the weekend regarding ODM leader Raila Odinga during Kalonzo Musyoka’s Yatta meeting.
