Being a political season, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) brigades in Narok have now gone an extra mile to win the maasai votes by all means possible.
The UDA team on Monday paraded raw meat in narok as the locals enjoyed their share. In attendance were a number of leaders such as the nominated senator David Ole Sankok, gubernatorial aspirant Patrick Keturet Ole Ntutu and other aspirants eyeing various seats in Narok.
On his side, nominated senator David Ole Sankok made it clear that they have taken over the Maa leadership because of their generous act of giving the locals half kilogram of meat.
He added that the real Maasai would speak on Tuesday just to send a message home that they no longer support the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
Below is what Sankok wrote:
“The real Maasai council of elders will tomorrow speak on behalf of the Maa nation to tell us what William Samoei Ruto has done in Maasai land vis-a-vis Raila Odinga who has never built a pit latrine in Maasai land.
All set for tomorrow’s launch of UDA Narok chapter campaigns and Patrick Keturet Ole Ntutu gubernatorial race. Kenya Kwanza brigade will all be in Narok at Ntutu’s home for the entire day.
All are welcomed to get real facts. Together with incoming Governor H.E Patrick Ole Ntutu, Maa sitting MPs plus aspirants, Maa sitting MCAs plus aspirants & opinion leaders assessed the preparation status for tomorrow’s grand Kenya kwanza rally.”Â
On their side, Kenyans had the following to say following the meat bribery event:
“Get the council of elders(MAA) out of your equation. We’ve got oldmen in olopirik and Kaales(MYOOT) to act like MAA recognized elders. MPFM (money plenty from Mara) will be distributed by Tunai, we shall be there to collect our money. RAO the 5th”
“Busybody who cannot even win over his wife’s vote for Ruto are now cheating Maasais with meat. Those people are used to eating meat and don’t think you are helping them by giving them free raw meat to carry home.”
“My fellow Maasais take your share of the looted fund in form of meat but never vote for those people sis tunajua Baba that is where Ole Nti Mama left us before he died.”
“Ole Sankok Give people money and meat to eat and forget about elections! Also try to contest even MCA seat and also look for votes.”
“Ole Sankok Wewe ni ng’ombe ya mutu, you’ve spend almost 4yrs posting nonsense on Raila only to come on the fifth year with some thin meat from emaciated cows? But the good thing he never gives you attention coz you’re helpless, you can’t help yourself.”
“Useless leaders disappeared for four years then suddenly they kill cows to confuse the Maasai voters in Narok and kajiado. I hope the Maasais will not buy this nonsense.”
