It is now official. The much-touted and mooted alliance between Deputy President William Ruto, ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula will be hushed out in the coming days and weeks.
This follows a meeting of their aides at DP Ruto’s Karen home on yesterday where the three leaders created a technical team to flesh out details of the deal. The technical team appointed will prepare a report to be submitted to the principals on the way forward.
Mumias East MP Ben Washiali explained;
“The meeting brought Jubilee (those from Western allied to the DP), ANC and Ford Kenya together. We have agreed to join forces to address the challenges facing our people. We have been treated badly and it is time this changed.”
Didmus Barasa, the Kimilili MP also revealed that the course they were taking was as a result of the tribulations faced by the DP in 2020 from his own Jubilee Party.
“We will forward two names of those from the Jubilee side who will represent us in the committee. We assembled here as leaders from Western Kenya. We will particularly focus on the unfolding character of governance & of the political economy in the country and its implications for everybody,” Mudavadi said after a press conference after a meeting at his residence in Nairobi.
Following the discussions at Karen, the ANC party leader met his aides later in the day, among them Vihiga Woman Rep Beatrice Adagala and Matungu MP Justus Murunga.
