DP William Ruto, who was on a campaign tour on the coastal part of Kenya took time to address president Uhuru Kenyatta’s impeachment remarks.
Ruto directly told the president to prevent the use of the statehouse as a theater for the planting of seeds of division of the people of Kenya along community lines and ethnic lines and instead protect the office of the president.
“Please Mr. President don’t allow the statehouse to be used as the theater for dividing the people of Kenya along ethnic lines,” the second in command said.
He further reminded the head of state of how he stood by him when the people he calls friends now were against him. Ruto said that he offered president Kenyatta his support unconditionally and therefore he should not allow falsehood to be propagated against him.
“I want to ask my friend the president of the republic of Kenya, even though you do not want to support me it is fine, I supported you unconditionally. My friend Mr. President, do not allow the statehouse , do not allow the office of the president to be the arena where falsehood, where propaganda where negative ethnicity is being propagated against me as your deputy,” Ruto said.
The DP insisted that he was not involved with any plans against president Kenyatta together with the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
“I am asking for very little, please don’t allow the statehouse to be used as an avenue for propaganda to spread falsehood that we were involved in anything with the man of Kitendawili to impeach you or to bring down your government,” he said.
Adding that, “Mr President you know it is not true it is false and I want to ask you with humility to protect the office of the president so that it doesn’t become an arena for falsehood, propaganda and planting seeds of division for the people of Kenya.”
I thought they this mad man said he’ll never address his “friend, boss and” President with strangers or in public fora.
If you want someone who is fond of double speak, Ruto is the one.

On Saturday, the head of state revealed that Ruto had planned his ouster while addressing Gikuyu elders at the Statehouse. According to the president, that is why he reached out to the ODM leader under the handshake to prevent Ruto from ascending to power through the back door.
