Kirinyaga Governor, Anne Waiguru has most certainly made a statement to the MCAs in Kirinyaga whether she intended to or not.
One of the so many MCAs in Kirinyaga County who wants nothing to do with the Governor is currently facing a 4-year-long jail term.
Wamumu Ward MCA, John Baptist Kanga, was arraigned in court on Wednesday, July 15th. He is facing a jail term for forgery and fraud.
Kanga was charged with four counts of forging documents in an alleged attempt to defraud four families’ land worth millions.
It was alleged that Kanga, with the aid of one Samson Theiru, forged a letter claiming to have been issued by the Commissioner of Lands based in Nairobi in December 2013.
The prosecutors of the case reiterated with facts that the two presented the crucial documents at the Kerugoya Registrar charging them with false and fraudulent representation.
Kanga pleaded not guilty to the charges that if convicted, might face up to four years in prison.
