It has now emerged that there was a group of 56 people that had unlimited access to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Results portal as voting continued.
One whistleblower introduced by former anti graft czar John Githongo will narrate to the supreme court how they were recruited to manipulate the results at will in favor of a particular presidential candidate.
According to this whistleblower, he was part and parcel of 56 people dubbed “The Team” and their role was to make sure that Raila Odinga did not win the election. Court documents seen by Sonko News show that this team was led by a team of 10 computer specialists.
Mr. Githongo wants the court to allow him play the whistleblower’s confessions in private just to expose the commission’s claims that forms 34As were tamperproof and could not be interfered with.
The chief executive officer of Inuka Kenya Ni Sisi, goes ahead in his affidavit that his team was part of several observer groups that were sent to various parts of the country and according to him, a colleague on August 18th 2022 introduced him to a young man at the Batian hotel along Argwings Kodhek road.
According to him, the man stated that he wished to discuss a matter of national importance. “The young man was visibly tense and terrified.” said Githongo who then proceeded to ask the unnamed young man his identity, business, residence, and the information he was about to expose.
“He revealed shocking details of how he and others were involved in a fraudulent scheme to interfere with, and compromise, the IEBC electoral data transmission system to manipulate the presidential election results.” He said.
Apparently, these 56 individuals were receiving all the forms 34As at their server/platform where they could edit the figures at will before uploading the same to the IEBC portal for the public to tally.
“While the other 46 people were accessing, entering, and manipulating the entries, he was one of the supervisors.” The task was to collect form 34As from Kiems Kits and send them to their server/platform, which he called “Uchagui Tallying” and use the alias “uchaguzi 2022.”
“After receiving the data, they would edit the form 34As in accordance with the instructions given then upload the edited form 34As to the IEBC portal.” Continued Githongo in a sustained attack at the IEBC system.
