Legendary Congolese musician and star Tshala Muana has passed on.
Tshala Muana died on Saturday morning in Kinshasa.
Her unfortunate demise was confirmed by Claude Mashala,her companion.
“The good Lord has decided to take over the national mamu Tshala muana. May the good God be glorified for all the good times she has brought us to this earth.Goodbye Mamu from me,” Mashala announced via social media.
Tshala Muana had been unwell for a while and recently she was admitted in hospital.
She was loved and adored by many music fans across Africa and the world. She had many hit songs under her belt and performed at many concerts.
Tshala Muana became famous in the 80’s and 90’s.
Some of her hit songs include; Dezo Dezo and Karibu Yangu which enjoyed massive airplay at the time.
Koffi Olomide described her as the real Greatest of all time. He mourned her saying;
“My Cuckoo is gone!True love lasts for life. Rest in peace Elizabeth Tshala de Koffi.
My sincere condolences…”
