Pastor Ezekiel Odero has extended an invitation to senators to visit his New Life Church.
The controversial pastor wants senators to visit his church so that they can see for themselves whatever goes on there instead of relying on reports.
He added that his church is willing to cater fully for the trip’s expenses.
“I will use this platform, please forgive me, to invite the senate on two conditions; waje watutembelee either kwa gharama ya serikali ama New Life iko tayari kuwalipia mahali pa kulala jinsi ya kusafiri kwasababu kama tunalipia wengine chakula kwa nini tusilipie nyinyi mje muone kile kinachofanyika badala ya kusema tu, ” he said before the senate Adhoc committee that is investigating the Shakahola deaths.
“I pray from the bottom of my heart. Wafike watembee kwa hizo barabara so that isiwe ni kitu Ezekiel amepresent ni fiction. Please I beg you,” Ezekiel added.
The preacher further said that he was disappointed by the commission that President William Ruto appointed to probe the Shakahola matter because it never visited his church.
“The commission that was appointed by the president tuliwaandikia barua, there were two people who were arrested Ezekiel and Mackenzie about this issue they went to Shakahola I saw it on TV. Please I beg come to where I am, see what Ezekiel is doing ask him a thousand questions I will suspend the services to listen to you and answer,” he said.
Ezekiel appeared before the senate in the company of his lawyers Danstan Omari, Cliff Ombeta, Samson Nyaberi, Shadrack Wambui and Pastor Pius Muiru of Maximum Miracle Centre.
Earlier, Ezekiel said that he was willing to speak the truth concerning his involvement with Pastor Paul Mackenzie, a prime suspect in the Shakahola Massacre.
“This is the only time that the church can defend the cross, it is not about me its about the gospel. Today is the day that we talk about what happened and the future of the gospel, there is a generation waiting for us tomorrow,” he told the press.
