One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is set to sign an agreement with Azimio la Umoja/ Jubilee ahead of the 2022 General Elections.
According to a credible source, the decision was reached after a highly classified meeting that lasted two days.
“OKA to sign pact with Azimio as soon as tomorrow(Wednesday), 2nd Feb 2022. This follows a high level secret meeting that just concluded,” NTV’s senior Investigative and current affairs reporter Seth Olale shared on Twitter.
Regarding the same report, Digital media strategist Dennis Itumbi claimed that the meeting was held at The Statehouse.
“HNIB agents are REPORTING that after two days of highly classified meetings, hosted in/by State House. OKA, in a Presser today will announce an INTENT to work with Jubilee and Azimio. The rallying point was, “Do not worry about the candidate, let us focus on the COMMON ENEMY,” Itumbi shared.
He further said that the coalition is expected to negotiate with Azimio and Jubilee separately.
“OKA is expected to negotiate two separate agreements, one with Jubilee and another with Azimio. Kalonzo, was the lone voice in the room, saying there he had issues with the candidature of @RailaOdinga-attracting the response earlier,” Itumbi said.
Following the reports a section of Kenyans now believe that the pact was the reason why ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetang’ula left OKA, Leaving Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi and Cyrus Jirongo.
“Well Mudavadi was right. There was a plan for OKA to join Raila, that’s why he left with Wetaa,” Sammy Davies said.
“If this happens there is no need for a Presidential election. Let them save that funds and do it from the Governor’s seats downwards , Hon Raila Odinga has already won it !” Frank Mtetezi’s comment read.
Eliana said, “Then his earthquakeness Mudavadi was right when he said that he left because the OKAs wanted to join azimio.. Kalonzo had vowed not to support Raila. He can’t stand by his word?”
This comes just weeks after Kalonzo dispelled claims that he was bound to support Raila’s candidature in the coming general elections.
“I am running for presidency of the Republic of Kenya,” Kalonzo assured his community members during his endorsement in his Yatta farm.
