A middle aged man from Baringo is nursing serious injuries in hospital after a domestic fight with his wife turned tragic.
The man was admitted at the Baringo County Referral Hospital after his wife splashed hot porridge on him.
According to witnesses from Kapluk village in Barwesa, Baringo North, where the incident occurred, the couple had argued about proceeds from the sale of cotton before the turn of events.
Sources reveal that the wife demanded to know where the money they had gotten from selling cotton had gone to.
She accused the husband of misusing the money yet they had both worked hard to get it.
“The woman was unhappy with the husband whom she accused of spending their hard earned money all alone,” a source told reporters.
The husband suffered burns on the face, head, neck and the back. He was rushed to the referral hospital for specialized treatment.
He however declined to reveal what transpired between him and his wife while speaking to the media, but he claimed to be living in fear.
He said that he would take action against his wife once he recovers and is discharged from the hospital.
“I am not ready for war with anyone. I’m still recuperating, I don’t want much exposure now, I’ll seek for justice when I’ll have recovered well,” he said.
On the other hand, the wife declined to give her comment on the issue.
