Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and his wife Fridah Ongili were among mourners who gathered in Kobala, Homa Bay county for the burial of DJ Evolve’s mother.
DJ Evolve’s Mary Hongo Adhiambo died on September 22nd at the age of 54 after developing complications with her heart.
The late Hongo collapsed and died in her Lucky Summer home in Nairobi, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
DJ Evolve, whose official name is Felix Orinda, made headlines sometime back after he was shot and injured by Babu Owino.
Many people blamed the firebrand Embakasi East legislator for the misery that befell DJ Evolve and his late mother.
However, Babu Owino made amends with the family even before DJ Evolve’s mother died – he is paying medical bills for the injured mix master.
On Wednesday October 20th, Babu Owino and his wife Fridah Muthoni Ongili traveled to Homa Bay for the burial of DJ Evolve’s mother.
Contrary to people’s expectations, the family relayed words of praises to Embakasi East MP for his consistent support and standing with them throughout the tough time.
The family members led by DJ Evolve’s uncle Dominic Orinda heaped praises on Babu Owino thanking him for standing with the family and supporting them to arrange the funeral. The family said that they are proud of the Embakasi East MP.
On his part, Babu Owino said that he will continue supporting the family in time of need. He talked about how the family members forgave him for the pain he caused.
The controversial lawmaker also said that he is now part of DJ Evolve’s family and promised to support them whenever they need of help.
