Kenyans were on Monday angered by the wife of Bomet governor Hillary Barchock after she took on her whatsapp status to show off thousands of money.
According to one Abraham Mutai who first shared the news, he was surprised by the primitive display of opulence from the first lady of Bomet county.
The blogger added that it was unfortunate for Bomet Governor’s wife to show off money while the residents were wallowing in abject poverty.
“I’m told that this is Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok’s wife. She posted this photo of her briefly on her WhatsApp holding bundles of money. This primitive display of opulence in a county where people don’t have clean drinking water is astounding. This is mocking and Insulting the poor folks of Bomet. Hii Ujinga ya public servants stealing and mocking you at the same time is totally UNACCEPTABLE. Na ni Ushamba. Leadership is not wash wash!” Wrote Mr. Mutai.
