Sports and Youth Affairs CS Ababu Namwamba has responded to the viral video a woman who caused chaos in a public hospital while using his name.
In a statement he shared online, the CS condemned the act while distancing himself from the woman’s behavior.
He also vowed to conduct an investigation on the matter to prevent such occurrences.
“The actions associated with me do not align with my values or commitment to public service. I unequivocally condemn any behavior against principles of integrity. I am thoroughly investigating these allegations and will take decisive actions to rectify any wrongdoing.
“My commitment to serving you remains unwavering, and I am dedicated to rebuilding trust through transparency and corrective measures,” he said.
In the video that widely angered Kenyans, the woman intimidated the health workers at the hospital, vandalizing their stationery.
“I have a right, let me call Ababu, this is how you kill people here, we have a patient in the emergency she cannot breathe,” the rowdy woman said.
The incident is believed to have occurred at Port Victoria hospital in Busia, with the video going viral on social media on Wednesday.
