Ever since making its debut on TV screens, Maria TV drama series has been a perfect reason for many households to get glued on Citizen TV. But of late the series has faced criticism from some concerned Kenyans on the morals of their children.
Most Kenyans have criticized the show over its love storyline as it was irrelevant to the younger generation.
The drama series that is being aired from Monday to Friday by SK Macharia’s owned media, Citizen TV has gained the TV station a huge viewership as is to always a topic of discussion ranging from toddlers to even the elderly.
Despite the program being PG it is usually aired at an inappropriate time where even younger viewers are active hence no one can mess its action. Actors such as Luwi and maria have openly confessed their love before children who have no idea about marital love.
In the latest scene of the program, an actor called Phantom was featured lightings cigar. The move has however been viewed as inappropriate for children.
The moral watchman Ezekiel Mutua may be forced to take action at Citizen Tv over the latest immoral move as he had previously been warned over the same.
This is when KFCB boss slammed the TV station over airing Tahidi high where a character was smoking despite being the program being broadcasted in the evening. Mr. Ezakeil further criticized the producer of Tahidi as he claimed his aim was to ruin the morals of younger viewers.

However, Ezekiel is yet to respond to the latest move by Citizen TV. But the worried viewers expect the KFCB boss to take legal action against the program.
