Alfred Mutua says Benjamin Mkapa told him he will be President one day

Dr. Alfred Mutua whos is the incumbent Machakos Governor, took to social media to offer his condolences to the friends and family and the country of Tanzania for losing Benjamin Mkapa.

Benjamin Mkapa was a President in Tanzania and served two terms and was also a part of the envoy that came to Kenya to help talk about peace between Raila Odinga and Mwai Kibaki after the Post-election violence.

“I am quite sad to learn of the passing of H.E. Benjamin Mkapa. He was a great man & peacemaker and was instrumental in the formation of the grand coalition. I remember his bear hugs.” Mombasa Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua said.

Mutua didn’t say that Mkapa said that he will be President but he said that loudly in front of other dignitaries who can corroborate what he’s actually saying.

“He once told me loudly, in front of many dignitaries, that I will one day be President of Kenya,” he added.

“Tanzania, East Africa and our continent have lost an energetic leader who really cared about the plight of our people. As a President and later as a peace envoy, he touched many lives. He will be missed. My condolences to his family, to President Magafuli & the people of TZ. RIP.” Dr. Alfred Mutua added speaking with his multitude of fans on Twitter.
