I have Never Talked To Babu, DJ Evolves Family Says

Date:

Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve has spoken for the first time since the shooting incident at a Nairobi club involving Embakasi South MP Babu Owino.

Speaking to NTV, Felix’s mum has refuted claims that the family has been in communication with Embakasi MP despite reports from local daily saying that Babu Owino had reached out to the family for an out-of-court settlement.

“I saw reports on the newspaper that I had talked to Babu, those are lies because I have not spoken to anyone, this incident left me devastated and I only speak to God,” Felix’s mum said.

Felix and his family were speaking to the local broadcast station illustrating how life has been with them after being released from the hospital.

During the interview, the barely inaudible Felix Orinda said he has improved since the January incident but said the accident left him immobile and traumatized.

“I have needed medication to help me sleep, I have had flashbacks from that day and it is traumatizing,” Felix said.

After being released from the hospital, Felix is currently under the care of his mum and nurses. At the moment the DJ can only move his fingers slightly.

” I am unable to move my hands past unfolding my finger, so when I don’t have them, I can’t do much as they were my tools of the trade, I cannot work,” the promising DJ added.

On whether he has forgiven the Embakasi MP, Orinda said he left that to God and is currently waiting to see what the justice system will decide.

On the fateful day of the incident, Babu is said to have drawn the firearm and allegedly shot DJ Evolve who was reportedly unarmed. The MP is currently facing attempted murder charges.

According to the police, the lawmaker argued with the DJ before he drew his weapon and shot him on the neck.

Questions have however been raised on why the first time legislature was allowed to enter the club with the gun.

On his defense, the MP released a statement claiming that he was provoked.
