Date:

Police have launched a manhunt after two employees attached to a local security firm who disappeared with Ksh94 Million in Cash

According to police statements, the money was supposed to be delivered at a bank in Nairobi CBD from a supermarket.

In what appeared to have been a well-choreographed move, the duo reportedly left without police escort.

The police who were assigned to escort the car  reportedly found it missing minutes later and immediately raised the alarm.

The car which left Industrial Area and was supposed to deliver the money in Nairobi CBD was found ditched at the Dafam area South C, next to the southern bypass, without the suspects and the money missing.

Senior police officers visited the scene and established the two escaped aboard a waiting car.

Teams of security personnel were mobilized to pursue the two but reported they had escaped to an unknown destination.

Several people were questioned in connection with the incident including the police officers who were supposed to escort the money.

Preliminary reports pointed at an inside job but the police have broadened the investigation to recover the money.
