Sauti Sol fire second singer from their record label

Date:

Word just reaching us seems to indicate that Sauti Sol has decided to let go of yet another artist from their budding record label, Sol Generation. This follows their release of the only female act they had signed to date, Crystal Asige.

Former Sauti Sol signee Crystal Asige

When she spoke about the reason why Sauti Sol released her from Sol Generation, she simply said:

Back in November they told me that they wanted me to leave, they don’t want me to be in the group anymore and so I left. That’s literally the beginning and the end of the story.

And Crystal Asige revealed this information during an interview she granted K24’s entertainment segment, ChitChat. And she tried as much as possible to convey the fact that she felt blindsided by Sauti Sol’s decision to let her go from their label. However, when they were put to task, the boyband explained the decision saying,

We are not working with crystal anymore and this came with a lot of complications. It was an amicable break and we are glad we gave her a platform.

But it would seem that this wouldn’t be the only time they would have to let an artist go as Sauti Sol has now revealed that they have let go of yet another artist they had signed, Kaskazini. And for this one, Bien took on the role of Sauti Sol spokesman and he said,

It’s been so difficult. We started with four, and now there are two. Right now we have Nviiri and Bensoul. They are the future of Kenyan music. It’s just business, and also about meeting our needs and their needs
