Watch: Drama As Man Interrupts President Ruto’s Speech To Talk About Covid Vaccine

Date:

President William Ruto on Saturday Commissioned the release of water from the Thiba Dam project in Kirinyaga county to rice farmers.

The Kshs8.2 billion project was completed in March this year. The dam has been under testing by The National Irrigation Authority (NIA) since September after it was filled with water to the capacity that was intended.

However, while addressing the locals, an unidentified man interrupted the president’s speech just to inform the he has been vaccinated against covid.

“Mr. President, I have a covid vaccine,” the man repeatedly shouted from the crowd.

Reacting to the incident, President Ruto said, “That guy’s problem is not bad. We will talk to him and know how to help him.”

Calm was however restored and Ruto continued with his speech on drought that has affected several counties saying that it was caused by climate change. He added that it was the worst in 45 years.

“We must do our bit as a nation and for us to have water, the way we have water in this dam, we must mind our environment. As a country, we have made a policy decision that we must plant five billion trees. Every Kenyan, fifty million of us must plant 100 trees. Either in your compound, in your farm, or any other place you find, that is the surest way for us to turn around the climate,” the president said.
