House Help From Hell: Woman Slapped With Jail Term After Doing The Unthinkable To An Infant

Date:

A 20-year old woman will spend the next five year in jail after she was found guilty of ‘molesting a 5-month old child.’

Apparently, the accused, who was serving as a house help, allegedly fed the young one she was taking care of  with nasal fluids and dirt from her private parts.

The woman, who was identified as Catherine Mukoya, was accused of inserting her fingers to her private parts and then placing them on the child’s mouth. The incident occurred on July 28, 2022 at Fedha estate.

Senior resident  Magistrate Festus Terer noted that Mukoya’s offense was serious and she deserved the punishment.

Mukoya is a single mother of a three-year old boy. She was held in custody while the trial was ongoing.

Reacting to the incident, a section of Kenyans have urged parents to take charge of raising their children instead of leaving them in the hands of house helps.

“Women – Leave that career and raise your kids by yourself, if you cannot, then don’t get the kids, follow career until you are ready to leave it for your own kids!” one said.

“People have lost their property, their children have been burnt, and others cut, beaten or frozen in refrigerators, others sold and kidnapped by housemaids with whom we live and trust. Some housemaids are living devils. Its just by the grace of God to find a desirable housemaid,” read another comment.

“Suppose this happened in Saudi Arabia we could be having another body to be transported home. Let’s just be disciplined,” said another.
