Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has vowed to give Aden Duale a difficult time when he shows up in parliament for vetting as Cabinet Secretary for Defense.
This is after the Garissa lawmaker referred to him as a joker in the August house following his maiden speech during the parliamentary sitting on Wednesday this week where he kept referring to the deputy speaker Gladys Shollei as Madam Speaker Sir.
“It has come to my realization that after making a small mistake of just saying madam speaker sir, senior member of this nation like Aden Duale is castigating me that I am a serious problem in the August house when I was raising real issues on how we can deal with the issues of agriculture and reviving cash crops and how avail electricity in our villages,” Salasya said.
Salasya, who is a first time MP, noted that Duale is unfit for the Cabinet secretary position adding that he will ensure he does not have an easy time ascending to the office.
“The Honorable Duale who has been appointed as CS is now castigating me telling me how I am a joker. Aden Duale, the first thing you said was to remove KDF from Somalia, in fact you will bring more problems in this country. You want our people to continue being killed in Boni, you want them to continue being captured and taken to Somalia. You are not qualified to be a CS for Defense. I am telling you for free, I will be number one to ask you questions in parliament, ” the 32-year old said.
He further warned president William Ruto that Duale will disappoint him. According to him, Duale is a noisemaker and only speaks nonsense in parliament.
“He does not know anything, Duale you are nonsense, who are you? You don’t feed me!” the agitated MP remarked.
