Junet Mohamed Responds To Claims Of Squandering Money Meant For Raila’s Agents

Date:

Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has finally responded to claims that he is responsible for Raila Odinga not clinching the presidency.

Since August 9 general elections, a section of Kenyans have been accusing him of being behind Raila’s unsuccessful bid. Some said that he among other Raila’s confidants squandered money meant for agents’ wages, a move that saw Raila’s votes not properly guarded and since then, he has been maintaining  a low profile.

He however surfaced online to respond to one of his old clips, before elections, where he was slamming president-elect William Ruto.

In the video, the MP said that Ruto will be defeated in the general elections and if he caused any trouble about that he would be jailed at Kamiti by Junet and others and not Raila himself, adding that he can not scare anybody in the country.

“I still stand by it. What can you do,” Junet responded to the clip.

He however faced a backlash with Kenyans still maintaining that he cost Raila presidency.

“You misled your baba na mama. You ended up eating money za agents na sasa uko hapa kutupigia kelele. You are the reason Odinga lost because you carried the wrong message. You sold Rito instead of selling Raila. You forgot that in politics, even negative publicity is publicity too,” a netizen accused him.

Responding to that, Junet said “Alafu” which loosely translates to “then” or “so”.
