The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate in the just concluded Embakasi East parliamentary election has hinted on knowing about the death of Daniel Musyoka.
Francis Mureithi while speaking to the media on Wednesday sounded like he knew so much about the death of Daniel Musyoka and it would only make sense if he is frog matched to any police station around to shed more light on what he really knows in a police statement.
Alternatively, Mr. Mureithi should present himself to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation and help them with investigations because clearly he knows much that Embakasi East residents know.
While addressing the press, the UDA parliamentary candidate confessed that the late was killed due to politics and it is evident that he has more information about the death of Daniel Musyoka. Below was part of his statement which may put him at the center of investigation:
“There is sufficient reason to believe that there is a connection between this murder and Owino and his colleagues’ illegal access to the tallying center. If the OCS and OCPD had assigned Musyoka bodyguards as required, I challenge them to give the media the names of these bodyguards,”
However, Kenyans were too quick to tell off Francis Mureithi with some accusing him of being the first suspect given the Major allegations he was making.Â
“This guy is putting himself in trouble. yani DCI has not given us a report and already he has done his investigations and established the killer? Is he hiding something from Kenyans? Polisi na DCI kujeni mbio ndio uyu suspect number one.” Said David Kinuthia.
On his part, the Embakasi East MP-elect Babu Owino also condemned the killing as he called for speedy investigation.
“I am saddened by the death of former Embakasi East constituency IEBC Returning Officer Mr. Musyoka. I send my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Mr Musyoka. I urge the relevant authorities to conduct thorough investigations and bring the culprits to book,” Owino said on his Facebook page.
He also dismissed claims By Francis Mureithi, urging him to present himself to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation and report the same.
“Who would benefit from the death of returning officer, between a winner and a loser? Would I kill a returning officer who was meant to announce me as a winner, with 57,000 votes? It seems he has already conducted an investigation and finished it, why hasn’t he gone to the DCI to report?” He posed.
