Mugirango South Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro is on the spot after a pickup that was ferrying his supporters overturned.
In a 0.13 second video shared online, the pickup that was carrying excess passengers was trailing behind a group of people who were campaigning.
The driver lost control as he took a turn with the vehicle falling on some of the people who were hanging on the sides.
Several people are said to have sustained injuries although their exact number is yet to be established.
In a related incident, a man badly fell off from a moving pickup in Kasarani roundabout, Nairobi.
The pickup was transporting crates of soda and the victim together with his colleague were seated on the load.
It is not clear whether the man was badly hurt because he soon stood up on his feet and began walking as if nothing had happened. Some of the load that the pickup was ferrying also fell attracting a huge crowd to scramble for the contents as traffic police officers watched in dismay.

The Kasarani incident caused mixed reactions since it occurred near Azimio presidential candidate’s billboard.
“Bad omen,” a netizen said.
“Kama gari haina safety belt, just know your body is your safety belt. If you love your soul inside your body, protect both at all costs. I just hope and pray the fellow is still breathing,” another tweeted.
“Traffic police kama kawaida eye witnesses. Kama haihusiani na jam don’t disturb. Thank you,” read another comment.
