DP William Ruto chose to respond to Kitui governor Charity Ngilu for calling him Rotten Ruto while campaigning in her backyard on Tuesday.
DP Ruto wondered when the governor performs her duties and obligations to the people of Kitui when she is always on Twitter insulting him.
The DP who had not responded to Ngilu however said that he will find her someone who will be engaging her with the insults.
“I don’t know when she undertakes the Kitui responsibility. She is on Twitter 24/7 insulting Ruto. When does she work for you? Mama Ngilu stop writing tweets on William Ruto, I will give you Mose’s account so that you engage him,” Ruto said.

Ngilu, who is supporting ODM leader Raila Odinga for presidency, has been taking swipes on Ruto through social media.
“If you don’t call this man by his name and refer to him as “huyu jamaa”, people will not know or understand who he is and how terrible he is for our beloved country Kenya. I am therefore calling you out, @WilliamsRutoyour name is ROTTEN RUTO,” Ngilu wrote on Twitter on March 18 accompanied by a video insisting the same.

In another tweet she also questioned between Ruto and President Kenyatta who made the other while asking the second in command to thank the president instead of insulting him.
“WHO MADE WHO?@WilliamsRutochest thumbs how he made Uhuru President, in what sense? ~ Who’s votes were more? His or Uhuru’s? ~ Who’s campaigning resources were more? His or Uhuru’s? Uhuru gave Ruto employment, Ruto should be thanking the President not insulting him,” Ngilu said.
