Singer and Businesswoman Esther Akoth alias Akothee will no longer be sharing posts about her love life on social media.
The mother of five is dating her manager known as Nelly Oaks. The two have been in a relationship for quite some time and Akothee has never shied from publicizing their relationship.
Akothee has however resolved to stop the trend after realizing that it is only harmful and won’t do them any good.
In an Instagram post, the artist said that she regrets introducing her family on social media which has proved to be very mean.
According to her, she thought that she was motivating people through her family, little did she know that she was only hurting them.
“The mistake I will live to regret, Introducing my innocent children to the mean Internet, full of witchcraft, Witches from All corners of the world . To me I thought it was wonderful sharing my life to uplift or motivate someone, at the expense of my family’s privacy! Shit ! ” Akothee said.
She went on to advise parents against putting their children on social media and further said that she is seeking a way to forgive herself for hurting her family.
“I would advise new parents to keep their children off this mess of social media. And for that reason soon my love life will be off social media. I already feel the heat and I will have to find a way to forgive myself for hurting my family. I HOPE YOU TAKE THIS HOME,” she said.
Akothee accompanied her message with a screenshot of her chats with one of her children. In the screenshot, she was asking her child to forgive her.
The child insisted that she had done nothing wrong but later asked her if she could take down her/his Instagram account.
