Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka released the 2017 National Super Alliance deal between him and Raila Odinga.
The copy is a bit different from the one that bonded him, Raila, Musalia Mudavadi(ANC) and Moses Wetang’ula(Ford Kenya).
During a press briefing in Nairobi whereby Kalonzo had been expected to give his political way forward, Kalonzo shared the deal explaining that any agreements between OKA and Azimio la Umoja must start from the deal signed by him and Raila in the presence of prof. Makau Mutua and Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana who was the then the Wiper party chairman.
According to the deal binding Raila who was labeled principal H and Kalonzo who was labeled principal Q, the two leaders were to stick together in 2017 and 2022 elections.
“This agreement binds principal H and Q in a power sharing pact within NASA in the period before and after the 2017Â August election. The commitments made herein shall bind principal H and Q in both 2017 and 2022 elections,” part of the agreement reads.
The agreement states that Principal H was to be the presidential candidate in 2017 elections while Q his running mate.
The document further said that the agreement would expire after 2022 elections whether NASA wins elections in 2017 or not. Principal H was only to serve a single term and endorse principal Q for the 2022 general elections.
Raila also agreed that after 3 years of service, he would delegate substantial national duties to Kalonzo and largely concentrate on International ones. The two parties however agreed that that particular agreement would not be made public.
Principal H was to share campaign resources with Q for the duration of the 2017 elections and finally both parties agreed to make their agreement public in rallies so that it would not look like a private understanding between Raila and Kalonzo but a social contract between the two.
The copies were given to all the four members who present during the agreement. Mutua’ copy was the final, true, authentic and dispositive copy of the agreement in case of a dispute.

In the presence conference, Kalonzo said that Makau breached their Nasa deal agreement by publicly declaring that he supports Raila for presidency during Azimio rally at Kasarani.
“We had agreed with Raila that Makau should Convene(us) last Thursday and the intention was him to bring the deal even though he had already acted in breach. He announced at the Azimio rally in Kasarani that he is in support of my brother Raila so he spoiled the stand according to the document. I was ready to meet up with him, I waited the whole Thursday there was no call from Makau Mutua,” Kalonzo said.
