The Day Ruto’s Inner Security Chased Away A Poor Hustler From Karen For Dressing Cheap Clothes

Date:

Deputy president William Samoei Ruto through his hawk eyed security guards manning his Karen residence could not withstand the sight of a middle aged lady who wanted to gain access.

According to the daily Nation, the security guards not only blocked her at the gate but also told her that she was “intruding into a leaders’ meeting way above her cut”.

Linet Chepkorir was casually dressed in cheap clothes, making Ruto’s bodyguards warn her that DP’s karen “was not a children’s playground”.

What shocked the poor hustler is the fact that those she traveled with from Bomet county were respectfully allowed to walk in since they looked monied and were well dressed.

According to her, she did not care about her dressing code since at the back of her mind she thought that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party was for common hustlers who would not be discriminated against going by how the deputy president has been selling it.

Determined to get in, the poor woman held her ground and insisted that she would get in by virtue that she was an aspirant. At Least her only mistake was looking young, failing to upgrade her wardrobe, having a simple hairdo, dressing in a yellow hoodie, rubber shoes and a green dress.

“Eventually, after about an hour, I was allowed in after I showed them my passcode to the meeting; electronically generated for members who have paid UDA aspirants’ fee of Sh6,000,” says Ms Chepkorir.

Apparently, the tents were already full when she arrived as those who matter had already sat down

“I took a seat in the back row, then it occurred to me that the Deputy President had not arrived. I walked to the front and requested a person who was standing by to take snapshots of me using my phone so I could provide it as evidence that I went to the DP’s residence,”  Chepkorir said.

To her disappointment, she did not personally meet William Ruto as he walked in then quickly ended the meeting a few hours later. She had no other choice but to begin her journey back to Bomet county.

Luckily, she had taken some photos at DP Ruto’s Karen residence which she immediately shared through her social media platforms.

“After the meeting, my phone battery ran out, and I did not have the opportunity to charge it until I returned to Bomet. When I turned it on, I was startled by the number of missed phone calls. More surprising were the social media messages that came through,” says Ms Chepkorir.
“For a while, I did not realize what the buzz was about, until people came forth with congratulatory messages. It dawned on me that the photos I posted earlier had been shared all over the place.”
